School Groups & Camps

Ukutula has been hosting school groups for day visits and extended stay school camps since 2006. Various options are available:

Day visit school groups:

Cost per student varies:

  • Primary School Student: R160 (bring own lunch) or R220 (lunch supplied)
  • High School Student: R180 (bring own lunch) or R250 (lunch supplied)
  • Teacher(s): Complimentary visit for one teacher per every 20 students booked and confirmed.

The price includes:

  • Interaction/observation of young predator cubs
  • Guided tour to lion, cheetah and tiger enclosures – educational lecture
  • Make use of our swimming pool facilities

Lunch is an optional extra with basic choices:

  • Hamburger & Chips
  • Hotdogs & Chips
  • We can also cater if there are specific requests

School Camps (overnight):

Cost per student per day varies from R450 – R1200/student and R1020 – R1200/teacher.
NB: We can offer one teacher a complimentary stay for every 30 students booked and confirmed.

Additional meals/person:

  • R95 – Breakfast
  • R75 – Lunch
  • R95 – Dinner

Cost per day includes:

  • Shared accommodation for learners in dormitories
  • Shared accommodation for teachers in chalets
  • All meals as per your dietary requirements – arrive before lunch, depart after breakfast
  • Interaction with our young predator cubs
  • Guided tour of our lion, cheetah and tiger enclosures – educational lecture
  • Game drive on Safari truck
  • Team-building activities together with qualified facilitators
  • Full use of the Team-building facilities
*** Included in the rates for our accommodation is our Predator Presentation Program – including a presentation with young lions and a guided tour to the lion, cheetah, tiger, caracal and hyena enclosures.
